Are you looking for affordable wedding venues in North Georgia? Good news! There are several gorgeous options that won’t make you feel like you’re sacrificing anything to stay within a modest budget.

For most of us, a $20,000 wedding is out of the question. However, that’s some people’s starting point. Once catering, flowers, photography, entertainment, and the dress are included, you’re looking at quite the investment. There are many unique and affordable wedding venues in North Georgia that are big on aesthetics without setting you back tens of thousands of dollars.

State Botanical Garden of Georgia

Located just three miles from downtown Athens, the State Botanical Garden of Georgia offers several different venue options that are perfect for a garden style wedding. While they do allow events in the actual garden, there are quite a few restrictions in place (to protect the delicate garden). The garden grounds are ideal for elopements and very small ceremonies. Chairs are not permitted, and there is a small rental fee for walk-ups.

The Georgia State Botanical Garden Conservatory

Your best bet is to reserve one of their venues for the day or evening. The Great Room is the largest option, and it includes The Conservatory, which holds 200 seated guests and up to 300 standing guests. The Conservatory and patio combined can seat 250 guests. Rental rates are around $2,000-3,000 for the venue on a weekend, so it’s still considered one of the more affordable wedding venues in North Georgia, but keep in mind that catering, photography, music, and all of your other extras are not included in the price. There are smaller venues available at the State Botanical Garden, such as the Gardenside Room, which seats up to 60 guests, and the Day Chapel, which can seat 200 if you opt for the Sanctuary with Reception Hall package.

Westside Cultural Arts Center

Westside Cultural Arts Center

If you’re looking for something in Atlanta and you love the arts, the Westside Cultural Arts Center is a dream-come-true wedding venue. This unique space in a converted warehouse which can hold large groups. We’re talking up to 500 guests. They have a separate gallery that can be used for a cocktail hour, a full catering kitchen, and a private bridal suite. Not only will your guests be wowed by the unique space, they’ll be blown away when they see your name in lights on the giant marquee. Talk about a showstopper!

Rental rates for the venue start at $3,500 which is a bit pricier than the Botanical Garden, but definitely still budget-friendly when you consider how many guests can be accommodated in the space. They offer several add-ons like bar packages, catering, video and photo services, and entertainment for an additional charge. If you keep things simple and are careful about how much you add on or spend on additional vendors, the Westside Cultural Arts Center is certainly a great option.
